About Acting Out
Welcome to Acting Out! We are a performing arts school with locations in Brooklyn and Westfield, NJ. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed for students from kindergarten to college, and includes courses in acting, musical theatre, improvisation, film/television, as well as private lessons in singing, piano, and audition preparation.
Our team of instructors, led by industry professionals Roberta Loew, John Isgro, and Keith Grumet, has over 20 years of experience in the acting industry. They are all working actors and musicians, offering students a unique opportunity to learn directly from those who have worked on Broadway, in regional theatres, television, radio, and/or film.
Our instructors' practical know-how and educational approach create a nurturing yet practical learning environment, where your child can explore the full range of emotions required to develop their performing arts skills. We are proud members of the Actors Equity Association (AEA), the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and AFRTA, and many of our instructors hold degrees in the performing arts.
We take pride in placing students in classes that will take their skills to the next level, and our ultimate goal is to provide your child with a safe and supportive environment in which to grow and express themselves. Join us at Acting Out! to explore your passion for the performing arts.
