About Pharmacie Bar
Named with a nod to the past — The Pharmacie soda shop once flanked the original Bloomfield Avenue entrance of The Wellmont Theater. Opened in 1922 as a venue for vaudeville and stage plays, and converted to a motion picture theater in 1929. By the early 1980s, the theatre was triplexed and the entry was moved around the corner and the original Italian marbled lobby then became a diner. The Wellmont reopened in 2008 as a concert venue, with an audience capacity of nearly 2500, and became the area’s largest live concert venue.
Our music-themed restaurant and bar serves up handcrafted classic and modern cocktails. With bars on two levels and decorated in a vintage vibe of exposed brick, black-and-white tile, marble, and wrought iron, Pharmacie is a convivial gathering place for pre-show libations.
Pharmacie will be open to coincide with shows at the Wellmont Theater but our kitchen will remain closed a bit longer as we work to relaunch a new and exciting menu. Rest assured though, Pharmacie Faithful, we will be back to full service and a regular schedule soon.
In the meantime, revisit our music-influenced signature cocktails, cold craft beer, and carefully curated wine selections. We are looking forward to seeing you all again and sharing excellent libations and rockin’ music!
